Getting started with our one‑off prescription service
Updated
To use our one‑off prescription service, you just need to be registered with Pharmacy2U and have us set as your preferred pharmacy. When your GP prescribes a short‑term medicine - such as antibiotics or temporary pain relief - they’ll send the prescription to us electronically. We’ll then check, dispense, and dispatch it to you via Royal Mail.
You can sign up for the service through your account.
How long it takes
A typical order can take 5-7 working days from you placing your order to your medicine being delivered. This includes the time to order and receive the prescription from your GP, check and dispense your medicine, and have it delivered to your door.
If you need your prescription sooner
If you need your medicine faster than our standard 10‑working‑day timeframe, there are a few ways to get it quicker:
Cancel and collect locally - Log in to your Pharmacy2U account, find your order, and choose Cancel and collect locally. You’ll receive a digital barcode you can take to a nearby pharmacy.
Ask your GP for a paper prescription - Your GP can issue a paper prescription for immediate collection.
Ask your GP to send it to a local pharmacy - They can redirect the prescription electronically if you prefer to collect it in person.
