Legacy Royal Mail Health app - how to place NHS prescription orders after 30th March 2026
Updated
What will happen on 30th March?
From 30th March, the legacy Royal Mail Health app will no longer support payments. You won’t be able to place paid prescription orders through the app after this date.
What do I need to do?
You can use the Royal Mail Health website to order and pay for your prescriptions or download the new Royal Mail Health app.
Will my account details and order history be lost?
No – your account is unchanged. Once you log in to the updated app (or the website), your details, order history, and preferences will all remain available.
What if I try to place a paid order in the old app after 30th March?
The order will not go through, as payments will no longer be supported.
Can I still order NHS prescriptions through the old app?
If the prescription does not require payment, it may continue to work for a limited time, but we recommend switching to the new Royal Mail Health app now to avoid any disruption.
Does this change affect my repeat prescriptions?
Your repeat prescription service will continue as normal. However, if a prescription requires payment, you'll need to place your order via the website to complete it or switch to the new Royal Mail Health app.
