Why some patients need to order directly with their GP surgery

Some GP surgeries choose not to allow prescription requests through pharmacies or other third parties. If your surgery has this policy, you can still use Pharmacy2U - it just means you’ll place your prescription request with your surgery instead.
Most surgeries offer an online portal where you can order your medication. You can visit their website or contact the surgery directly, and they’ll guide you on how to request your prescription. Once you’ve placed your order, your GP will send your prescription to us electronically as we are your nominated pharmacy.
We’ll then dispense and deliver your medicines to your chosen address, free of charge, within 5 working days.
You’ll still receive reminders from us when it’s time to order your next prescription, so you can stay on track with your medicine.
